⚡ How to Speed Up Product Development with Design
Last week, my colleague, Evelyn Frank and I gave a presentation on this topic to the senior leadership technology team at Carnival Cruise Line.
About ½ way through the talk, after my nerves had settled, I had a “pinch-me” career moment when I looked around and saw the room full of successful executives who were eager to about the power and impact that user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design could have on their multi-billion dollar organization.
Product design and development have come a long way in the last 20 years, haven’t they? Many of us have spent most of our careers advocating for design’s seat at the decision-making table and now we are receiving invitations to be the topic of discussion.

🎒 EdTech Founders Who UX (Informed K12)
Is there a How-To manual for building a successful user-centric company? In this interview series, my goal is to find out. I aim to capture the real behind-the-scenes stories of successful tech founders who lead their organizations with a UX mindset.
In collaboration with UX of EdTech we published our first interview with the CTO and Co-Founder of Informed K12, Qian Wang.
Qian takes us on a journey through the specific steps she and her co-founder took to build their company and product. She explains how they turned UX principles into powerful strategies that paved the way for their long-term company success. She also candidly discusses an early pitfall and how they were able to pivot with flying colors.
